Since its conception, the Smithson Quartet has consistently been numbered among the world’s foremost period-instrument quartets, winning praise for the elegance, clarity, and stylistic freshness. The Smithson has performed over one hundred concerts as one of the resident ensembles at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, and has been broadcast on NPR, APR, and PRI as well as on Swiss, Dutch, French, Belgian, and German national radio services.
