Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 SCHUBERT PROGRAM NOTE by Mark Steinberg

In advance of Sunday's Symposium featuring, Franz Schubert's Octet in F Major, I encourage you to read Mark Steinberg's program note.  Please click here to do so.

Mark is a member of Helicon's Advisory Committee, a regular Helicon performer, and a penetrating thinker about music.  I believe you will be moved by what he has written, and that it will expand the way we all think about music writing and about music itself.
